“Hi and welcome to APG TV. I’m Shaw Merrill, and today we are going to show you how to program the LPU-2127 Ultrasonic Level Sensor. All the programming for the LPU-2127 is done right here, through the display. The LPU-2127 is programmed using modes, similar to a digital wrist watch. To access the display and programming buttons simply loosen the screw on the sensor lid.
The LPU has 4 programming buttons: mode up, mode down, value up, and value down. The mode up and down buttons allow you to select the mode. While the value up and down buttons allow you to view and change the settings. To show you how these buttons work lets set the 4 mA setting and the 20 mA setting.
First you need to select the units of measure. To select this, press the mode buttons until you see mode 1 displayed. To select the units of measure, press the value buttons. The LPU offers three different setting for units of measure: 0 for feet, 1 for inches, and 2 for millimeters. Once you select the units of measure you want to press a mode button to save your changes.
To set or change the 4 mA setting, press a mode button until you see mode 2 displayed. Next, press the value buttons to change the setting. To save the setting, press a mode button. Now to change the 20 mA setting, press a mode button until you see mode 3. Now press the value buttons to change the setting, and press a mode button to save that setting. Remember once you press the mode button, the display will now show the distance measurement.
A full listing of all the modes can be found in the LPU-2127 manual. Thanks for watching our quick LPU-2127 programming demo. If you still have questions, contact us at (435) 753-7300 or send us an email to sales@apgsensors.com. Until next time, I’m Shaw Merrill, APG TV.”
